Welcome!
This is my medium Blog, where I host my UX design portfolio.
WHO AM I?
Health Science Grad turned UX professional residing in the Greater Toronto Area. After graduating from university, I realized I wanted to dive into a field that will allow for the perfect balance of analytics and creativity. UX design appeals to me because it captures my favourite philosophies from health science; showing empathy, having a user-centred approach, and understanding the needs and motivations of people we will be working with. Accessibility and inclusivity are two areas that I really value. As a designer, if I can accomplish making an experience easier to navigate and access, that’s one step closer to a kinder future.
WHAT CAN I BRING?
You're probably wondering what can I bring to your team:
- I have a genuine love for people and am easy to work with.
- I’m a team player 100%, I think collaborative work is great for ideation and innovation. I always have a listening ear for other people's ideas and critics.
- As a designer, I strive to be the voice of the user. My job is to speak on behalf of those who want to be heard.
- I have strong communication skills and am able to present my ideas and thought processes clearly to any audience.
WHAT DO I LIKE?
In my free time … actually all the time, I love listening to music. I like to call myself a concert junkie because if there’s a live show happening in the city, you can trust I will be there. While I’m not working, I make time for my children … my plants. I have a bit of a green thumb and my friends know me as the plant lady.
